Cultural Artifact
This assignment the Cultural Artifact was a bit difficult because I have never even attempted to do this before so this was new to me. The first thing I did before I even thought about what I was going to pick for my Cultural Artifact was the assignment sheet and all the questions that needed to be answered. I looked at the questions such as what purpose did it serve. Who identified with it most?, and What was the significance of the object? Subsequently, looking at these questions made me think about what my Cultural Artifact was going to be about and then I went back to my Year in Review essay and did a little more research and I decided that Madonna was going to be my Cultural Artifact. After getting all my research done I started writing. The first part defined who Madonna is to society and why she is so significant. Then I took a lot of my research highlighted what I needed and put history about Madonna into my page. Also I included the information on Madonna and the year 1985 that made her so significant to that year. Then I ended the content part of the web page with how she influenced and impacted American culture in that can still be seen in 2009. Lastly, I found pictures of Madonna and put it all together to be call my Cultural Artifact page. My page is very simple and to the point which is very important to me.
